Senior Applied AI Engineer

Build reliable systems that can reason across project evidence, domain analysis, uncertainty, and action boundaries.

The mandate

Turn advanced models into accountable product behavior for consequential pre-construction work.

What you would own

  • Design evaluation-driven agent and retrieval systems for complex project work.
  • Build traceability, uncertainty handling, and authorization boundaries into model workflows.
  • Work with domain specialists to translate real development decisions into testable product behavior.
  • Improve reliability, latency, observability, and cost across production AI systems.

What we are looking for

  • Strong production experience with machine learning, language models, retrieval, or agent systems.
  • Clear judgment about where deterministic systems, models, and human review should each remain authoritative.
  • Comfort working through ambiguous product and research problems with a small team.
